We bought this house almost a year ago. It was built in 1990 and it took us nearly a year to do our damage. Mother nature removed one small tree from the front yard, and three boys in a gator took out the other one. There is so much overgrowth and old leaves, a ton of walnuts (or are the freaking things pecans???) in the uneven, sloping yard. I need to bush hog (did I really just say bush hog???), till, trim and weed it all. I want to put a large jungle gym with rubber mulch in the back for the boys.
Here is the backyard (standing from the side of the house, looking back). You can see how it slopes up, is completely uneven, has a ton of bushes/brush (BUSH HOG!) around the edges (along with some blown over tress), and some trees in the middle that need to come out. Mr. Husband did cut down some of the limbs that were touching the ground, but they are now piled up on the side.
Here you can see the many, many walnuts (pecans?) ~ imagine this over most of the yard:
So in my disappointment, I started walking around, and taking pictures. Take a look at what I found:
OMG, it took SOOOO long to put these up! I hope you enjoyed the beauty as much as I did! ~J

Such absolutely beautiful photos & plants. BTW- those nuts are walnuts, not pecans. (coming from a Southern gal…I know my nuts!)
LOL! Thanks for the nuts lesson!
