Prom, Graduation, and Birthdays!

May was a busy month for us!  Bailey had her Senior prom and graduated from high school, Timmy graduated from preschool at Little Lambs, and Brennen turned 9 and had a golfing party

 

 

Pine Wood Derby

This year, the boys did their first pinewood derby race.  After it was clarified that we weren’t building cars for them to SIT in (yeah, I know, duh), Craig and the boys set in and made the cars.  He made a basic shape for the boys, but they filed, shaved, sanded and did most of the decoration details themselves!  We didn’t win, but the boys had a great time doing it.  I was disappointed in how “nice”  some of the other cars were, obviously NOT done by 7 to 9 year olds, but by parents and grandparents. :/

 

 

Spring wrap up . . . .

There are so many other little things that happened in Spring 2011 . . . so let’s just dump it all here:

My family came to visit for a weekend!  It was fun, and I love when they are here!  Ashley was taking a photography course, so she was taking odd pics around town.

In April, I started to work in the Intensive Care Unit, and I LOVE it!  It’s a totally different realm of nursing.  I feel like I can make such a difference in my job!  :) One of my good friends bought me a birthday cake when I had to work on my birthday!  Thanks Sherri!

First Anniversary

In March, Craig and I took a weekend trip to Memphis.  I can’t find pictures right now, but I will!  I’m thinking they are on my external hard drive!  

We stayed at the Memphis Hilton, which is a pretty building, but the outdoor pool is freezing!  We enjoyed touring Graceland (home of Elvis), walking on Beale Street where we heard some awesome live music and ate scrumpious bar-b-que at Blues City Cafe!  We went to the  west Memphis dog track, which was fun!  I actually won a bit of money and treated us to all you can eat crab legs in the resturant! Yum!
