The light at the end of the tunnel

Ahhhh yes, there is light…..I have passed my tests!  I have our final left, which I must make a 44/100!   Our pinning ceremony is two weeks from today, and graduation two weeks from Saturday!  And my Mom will be here (that woman is in Cancun right now)!  Yeah ME!

(ugh, then I still have to study for the boards!)

 

Cram Cram Cram

 

I hate the night before a test.  I feel like I don’t know enough and need to cram.  But really, if I don’t know it now . . .  will I know it in the next 12 hours?  Who knows.  I’m nervous, this the test that I did not do well on last year (thus I failed the course by FOUR points and am now repeating it).  Wish me luck!

 

OWWW! I feel good!

 

I got to sleep in today!  After weeks of waking up at 5am or 6am (after a toss n turn night), taking the Dude to school, then going to school myself, pick up kids, clean, dinner, and often then to work for a 12 hour shift, then only sleeping 3-5 hours the next day before I work again . . . well none of that happened.  I studied last night until around 10pm, went to bed, only woke up maybe twice, told the Daddy-O to get up.  He took the Dude to school, and the other two slept until ….. wait for it……. NINE AM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel good, finally rested.  I have the smallest two beans at home today.  I can study for my best test tomorrow (which is the one I did horribly on last year) and clean my horrible house.  Next week is spring break, WOOT!  I plan on working Thursday through Sunday nights (12 hours), be off Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (hoping maybe go camping and the circus), and then work again Thursday through Saturday nights.  Sunday is our anniversary!  Woot!

 

Oh you EVIL TEMPTOR!!!

Why oh why!  You come into my life on March 6, complete with a drive thru and play area, feed me lovely little breakfast sandwiches, delicious fries, and my daily treat – your scrumptious lemonade.  The one day of massive studying I get, I desire a nice, cool, relaxing lemonade, and I can’t have one!  It’s Sunday!!!!   Damn you Chick-Fil-A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Testing, Testing, 1-2-3

I hate test.  They are stupid.  All it does is show how much you can cram into your head during the night before your test, or like me – at 5 am, four hours before the test.  In nursing you are suppose to build upon your knowledge.  It’s not a memorize and dump the info on a piece of paper, AKA regurgitating information.  But we are suppose to use past info to assure and confirm what we are doing now.  Well crap, I can’t remember what I ate for dinner last week!

It’s over and I feel good about it, but normally that means I sucked big time!  We’ll see!

 

How much is too much?

                                                

Or rather, not enough?  Studying.  I hate it.  Does anyone really like it?  All day I have found other things to do.  I’ll sit, open my books, OH!  Laundry!  Switch out the laundry.  OH!  Dusting!  Over and over.  And now it’s evening, and minimal studying has been done.
